Each packet will protect approximately 2 cubic feet, depending of the level of moisture and how often the container is opened. The blue indicating beads will turn pink when the have absorbed about 10% of their own weight in moisture. They will continue to absorb moisture to nearly 40% of their own weight, making them a very efficient dessicant, widely used by industry and the U.S. military. A Moisture Indicating Card and instructions is included with each bag of ten packets. The dots on the cards change colors to tell you the humidity of the container, so you know when the packets have reached capacity and need recharged. Simply throw them in a dehydrator overnight and they are good as new.They are in a dust-free electronics-safe packet with a clear front panel. There are two different types. These large packets are over 30 grams each!  They measure about 3" x 4.75". 30 grams is just over one ounce. Silica gel can be recharged by simply heating it in the oven at 250 degrees F for 3 hours, but to recharge in the oven the packets themselves would need to be opened, as the plastic panels would melt. They can be recharged in the packets by use of a dehydrator. These packets were used in an ultra-clean high-tech industry, and we saved them for re-use by recharging them to like new.  These packets have all been recharged and are ready to use.
